Greetings, I hope everyone is having a great week thus far. We have a lot of exciting things happening in our class. Please read below to see what's happening in our classroom this week. This week, our crew is focusing on:
On Monday, a geometry photo project was sent home. This project will help our mathematicians see how geometry is all around them while assisting them with reviewing important geometric concepts. The students may use Google Slides to create this project, or they may create a paper book. Please encourage your child to use craftsmanship to create their project. I look forward to seeing the final products! Click here for project directions. This project is due May 4, 2018. Message from Coach Henry about Field Day It's that time of the year....the "Super Bowl" of all school days (according to PE teachers everywhere, granted I was the only one surveyed but who cares)... yes, you are right, FIELD DAY! In the past few years, my goal has been to make this the most enjoyable event for all that partake. Students will participate in 18-21 stations lasting 5-6 mins each. To make this a memorable event, I need amazing volunteers to help things run smoothly...and yes the more the merrier (meaning, aunts, uncles, grandparents are invited to help). If you are interested in volunteering, please email me your availability for that day. Thanks in advance, Coach Henry [email protected] What: Westchester Field Day 2018 When: Friday, May 18th Time: 9:00-11:00 (All K-1 classes) 12:05-2:00 (All-2-3 classes) Upcoming Dates April 20-25 Book Fair May 7 The Week of MAP Testing May 18 Field Day
